Red Devils News · Liberty High School names Hal McManus as their new Athletic Director

Liberty High School is excited to announce Hal McManus as the new Athletic Director. Coach McManus comes to Liberty from Socastee High School where he served as AD and will replace Kyle Stewart who has been AD and Head Football Coach.

Coach McManus brings a wealth of experience as a state championship-winning basketball coach (Broome, 2005), and a successful Athletic Director at Broome, Spartanburg, Boiling Springs, and Socastee. “Coach McManus’ experience leading athletic programs, and his ties to the upstate make him the perfect fit for our school and community. His wife, Alison, is a graduate of Liberty High and his inlaws are well-respected members of our community.” Says Liberty High School Principal, Josh Oxendine. “Coach McManus is well respected across the state of South Carolina for his leadership and vision. His addition to our school will benefit our coaches, faculty, and staff, but most importantly or students.”

Starting in March, Coach Mcmanus will begin the transition into our athletic department and working with Jonathan Dilworth, our Associate Athletic Director preparing for the next school year.
