Liberty Red Devils Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-2 loss to Crescent on Tuesday. Crescent took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Liberty Red Devils Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Crescent, giving up 15 runs.

Crescent got things moving in the first inning. Crescent scored one run when #26 singled. Crescent scored five runs in the sixth inning. Crescent’s big inning was driven by doubles by #12 and #16, a single by #4, and an error on a ball put in play by #5.
#28 was in the pitcher’s circle for Crescent. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Sofia Robert led things off in the circle for Liberty Red Devils Varsity. The bulldog surrendered 15 runs on 21 hits over five innings, walking one. Mayci Ledwell threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Liberty Red Devils Varsity launched one home run on the day. McKenzie Porter had a long ball in the fourth inning. Porter, Rylee Medlin, and Kaitlyn Tope each collected one hit to lead Liberty Red Devils Varsity.

Crescent racked up 22 hits in the game. #26, #12, #4, #5, #18, #25, and #24 all managed multiple hits for Crescent. #26 led Crescent with four hits in five at bats. Crescent was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. #24 made the most plays with nine.
