Carly White threw a shutout to lead Red Devils past Walhalla 12-0 on Friday.
Red Devils secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the third inning. Hannah Whitaker, Rylee Medlin, Mayci Ledwell, Bailey Watkins, Whitaker, and White all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Red Devils tallied ten runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Medlin, Whitaker, and White, doubles by Watkins and MacKenzie Porter, a home run by Whitaker, and an error on a ball put in play by Ledwell.
A single by #5 in the third inning was a positive for Walhalla.
White led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Red Devils. She went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out six and walking one.
#6 was on the rubber for Walhalla. She allowed six hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out one. #18 and #10 entered the game as relief, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.
Red Devils tallied one home run on the day. Whitaker went for the long ball in the third inning.
Red Devils had ten hits in the game. Porter, White, Watkins, and Whitaker all collected multiple hits for Red Devils. Porter went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Red Devils in hits. Red Devils was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Medlin had the most chances in the field with six.
#5 led Walhalla with one hit in one at bats.
